Although some children are told they were “delivered by the stork,” Kimber claims her parents insisted she was tossed off a Shetland pony into a hay field. Growing up in Beaumont, Texas, she says she didn’t doubt that story as it would explain her upside-down approach to the world. She thinks and often speaks in rhyme. She says she can’t help it, it just happens every time.

THE BUMMKINN BAND name is based on her own approach to life. “Most people think of a country bumpkin as someone who isn’t sophisticated or smart. But, I like to believe that it’s more about enjoying life and having a good time – relishing the simple things that life has to offer.”
